Findlingsgarten Königslutter

This geopoint north of Königslutter opens a window into the earth’s history – a world to touch and comprehend. It is a collection of more than 300 Scandinavian and local boulders. They come almost exclusively from a single site near Königslutter.

During two ice ages, the glacial and inland ice masses coming from northern Europe penetrated over Königslutter and the Elm to the northern edge of the Harz.

Here in the Findlingsgarten, a landscape shaped by glaciers has been faithfully recreated – flanked by an ice age landscape and a historic forest. Forest adventure trail and playground complete the ensemble.
