Heimkehle

The Heimkehle is one of two large gypsum caves in Germany, which are used as show caves. It lies on the southern edge of the Harz between Rottleberode and Uftungen on the Karstwanderweg.

Opening hours:
The cave is open all year round from Tuesday to Sunday.
April to September from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
October to March from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
45-minute guided tours, last guided tour 1 hour before closing time!
