Processing status of the landmarks in the Braunschweiger Land / Ostfalen sub-region, February 2017
Landmarks 20, 22, 27 and 28 have been completed. 

In September 2002, the landmark concept was developed as part of an inter-geopark workshop in Allrode, the realisation of which has been or will be realised in several stages.

Well-known landmarks (mountains, towers, castles, etc.) form a visual link to geo-routes in the respective neighbourhood. In addition to the initial destination, other Geopark-relevant facilities are grouped together within easy reach. The landmarks already realised in the Harz sub-region can be found here.
