Privacy Policy for Events

The Geopark Trägerverein Braunschweiger Land – Ostfalen e.V., Niedernhof 6, 38154 Königslutter am Elm, as the event’s operator or mediator, takes the protection of your privacy very seriously. We are aware that the data of the children entrusted to us in particular are under special protection. When collecting and using your personal data, we therefore comply with the legal requirements, in particular the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the new Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) in the current versions.

The board of the Geopark Carrier Association is responsible for data protection.

  1. Registration of guided tours and other events held by the Geopark

The data requested in the context of a registration for an event will be used for the implementation of pre-contractual measures and for the performance of the contract. A distinction is made between mandatory data (marked by asterisks) and voluntarily to be provided data. No contract can be concluded without the mandatory data (name, address, e-mail, telephone). The request for your telephone number is in our legitimate interest to be able to contact you directly in case of event changes. If you do not provide us with this data, we may not be able to reach you in time. Other voluntary information will also be used to implement the contract

When you send us a message or use the registration form, Geopark uses the contact details provided to respond to and process your request. Your data will be provided depending on your concern and your position as a prospect or participant for the implementation of pre-contractual measures or for the performance of the contract.

  1. More electronic notifications

We send e-mails and other electronic notifications with information about our activities, advertising for our course offers or up-to-date course information (failure, appointment or changes to the meeting point, etc.).

  1. Storage of data

The data you provide to us will be managed on an internal storage medium of the Geopark for the performance of the contract. The PC used is the property of the Geopark and is equipped with an up-to-date operating system and security software. Regular updates and data backups are ensured.

  1. Sharing your data

We will pass on your name, address, e-mail address and, if stated, telephone number and voluntary information, to the respective event manager, usually the geoguide, for the preparation and execution of the event. This includes contacting changes. In the case of offers that we carry out in cooperation or on behalf of the commission, we forward your respective login data to our partners named in the application. These transmissions are for the purpose of fulfilling the contract.

You have the right at any time to obtain information about what data about you are stored by us and for what purpose the storage takes place. Furthermore, you can object to the data processing and have your data transferred by us to someone else. In addition, you are entitled to correct inaccurate data and to have data blocked or deleted if storage is inadmissible or no longer necessary. In addition, you have the right to revoke consents given with effect for the future. You can address your respective concerns to us by using the mentioned contact details. In addition to the aforementioned rights, you also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
