An exciting journey through time

This short trip to Germany's largest geopark promises to be an exciting journey through the cultural and geological history of the Braunschweig region. Visit quarries and Stone Age burial mounds, discover fossilised witnesses and be fascinated by imposing monuments.

Day 1

Arrive in the small medieval town of Königslutter am Elm. After visiting the Geopark Information Centre with museum and information area, stroll through the old town through small alleyways past half-timbered houses. Enjoy dinner at the Hotel-Restaurant Kärntner Stub'n. This family-run restaurant is known for its traditional and informal atmosphere as well as its regional specialities. known.

Day 2

Our geoguide will accompany you on a hike through the Elm and take you to special geological sites. Afterwards, you can take a hammer and chisel and go in search of fossilised search for fossilised shells and crinoids!

And if you need even more action, you can energise yourself directly at the hotel on the Stock track! By then at the latest, you'll be enjoying a hearty meal, typical dish for the region (depending on the season)!

Day 3

After breakfast it again to one of our many geopoints. Choose according to your interests:
